Logo &
Identity

Primary — Light Background

Reversed — Dark Background
Always preserve a minimum clear space equal to the height of the logo mark on all four sides to ensure visual integrity.
Display the logo in navy (#1B3A6B) on white, white on navy, or single-color black — never on busy backgrounds or unapproved colors.
Do not stretch, rotate, add effects, or modify the logo lockup — always use original files from the approved asset library.

Imagery
Direction
Authentic Arctic Learning Moments
Prioritize real photos of students in classrooms, outdoor environments, and cultural activities — avoid staged stock imagery that misrepresents our community.
Warm, Purposeful, and Community-Centered
Images should convey belonging, curiosity, and cultural pride — featuring diverse students, Iñupiat traditions, and the natural Arctic landscape as context.
Voice &
Tone
Confident & Data-Driven
Lead with proof — graduation rates, assessment scores, and awards back every claim we make about student outcomes.
Warm & Community-Rooted
Speak like a trusted neighbor, not a corporation — our tone reflects the close-knit, family-forward culture of North Slope communities.
Aspirational & Forward-Looking
Inspire families with a vision of what their child can become — a culturally grounded leader ready to impact the Arctic and the world.
Clear & Jargon-Free
Avoid education buzzwords — write in plain language that any Barrow family can immediately understand and act on.
